Depop and Groove Delight

As I am a struggling student, a struggling fashion student with a lot of clothes, I'm doing that classic desperate beg for you to buy my stuff cloaked with the guise of a #whatsinmyshop twee post.

I do actually have some fun stuff in my depop rosie_rebelled, old weird vintage clothes and patches I made years ago and are selling on the cheap.

There's some one of hand embroidered pieces there too that I really enjoy making as well as selling plus the cute bobbly dangly pompom earrings I've been making recently.

Some items, mostly the clothes I cant afford to do international postage as once again, I don't have much money ya get me?

I also wanted to share my little Groove Delight Playlist that I honestly listen to everyday and would totally be my dj playlist if I was down in Ibiza and to also proove that after two years I've finally figured out how to embed codes into posts

The End Of Show

A sketchbook roundup of the first half of the summer

Currently...

Listening: any Motown song, my favourite Loco in Acapulco by the Four Tops because that song wakes me up so good, as well as re listening to David Bowie, I love the transitions in mood and style between each album.

Watching: The Shinning, yep this is the first time I've watched that classic, while it didn't really scare me as much as make me laugh a little although I loved the style and visuals of the film, as well as catching all the references other films and tv shows have taken from it, i.e. the snow covered maze they used in Scream Queens.

Reading: Fashionable Selby the most innovative fashion book i've read in so long, it's basically a series of conversations between photographer Selby and the various designers, illustrators, interior designers ect in the form of intimate photographs and written out interviews

Eating: leftover Chinese that I bought last night which turns out was like 70% beansprouts which i am 100% okay with. Jesus I love beansprouts.

A Poem for Interning in London

I've been bleeding on designer clothes for two weeks now
my oyster card is at an all time low
surviving on a diet of humus crisps and peppermint tea
but yes I appreciate the quinoa salad

yes hackney is very beautiful and upandcoming
and the blood stains are covered with sequins
maybe you should have told me the right way sooner
but could you still sign this work placement form?

Please family, let me embroider in peace

title comes from a text post I found on tumblr that honestly, just me.

So in a move to curb my consumerism a little while also continuing to progress with artistic choices I'v started not buying sketchbooks as I feel like they are the gateway art material and once you're in the art shop in front of the 3 for £5 sign with a handful of wasted trees already and then suddenly you've bought thousands of paint boxes and pallet knifes that you don't need at all but seems like such a good deal.

So instead of spending money I should be saving I'm trying to work through the many pieces of paper I already own to work through my feelings. Double recycling and saving points for using a free lush catalouge and leftover yarn that I wouldn't have used anyway.

working my frustrations out through embroidery

Currently listening to Caramel Cult's amazing podcasts that ironically I listen to in the bath while using lush products.

Currently watching Tallulah on Netflix, like right now I'm half an hour in as I'm writing this. But also Stranger Things. Oh my god if you watch anything watch stranger things its so good for your soul.

Currently reading The Angel Esmeralda: Nine Stories by Don DeLillo, which is like the most beautiful notions of human connection and perfect for my short attention span when it comes to reading. Which brings me to The Bell Jar by Sylvia Plath that I just finished reading a year after starting it, which blew my mind that I was never taught this book at school.

Currently eating anything vegan with hummus on it as of April I'm officially trying to become a proper vegan so good bye chocolate and pizza with cheese hello hummus.
